I am keeping track of all the 'stars' that are fighting to allow gays to marry...My money will not go into any of their pockets....Gays need to go back in the closet and quit trying to say that they are born that way...No one is born that way, it is a choice no matter how you spin it...The people have spoken the government has no say so, the government is by the people and for the people...As far as JB portraying Jesus, well the fires of Hell will be extra hot for him when he answers for his actions...

I watched this by tenuous link - I was amazed and moved. In England, we simply cannot understand the hostility and anger shown towards same sex union. We have a similar system in the UK, but even we still have the bigotted and sectarian minority fighting gays and lesbians down. I am an active, Protestant gay Christian and defy anyone to state where God of Israel, Christianity or Islam forbids same sex union. it simply does not take place. Jesus said nothing on the subject, but he had a lot to say against intolerence.

Please stand firm with hope and aspiration dear friends in the GLBT community. The day will come, as indeed you have elected a black president only last week. it is possible to eat and elephant - you just have to do it a spoonful at a time.

And so to quote an inspirational leader who started the seeds of last week's historic change - "One day.... we shall finally be able to say in the words of that old Negro spiritual... free at last... free at last .... thank God Almighty, we're free at last" (slight paraphrase intentional).

I woke up this morning to be greeted by another day. Another day of living my life alone and separated from the one I love by a vast ocean of water, border security, homeland security and a loveless law that keeps us forever apart - except for rare visitation rights. This is a prison I have been born in. Every day I am forced to be alone. And no one knows and nobody on the other side cares. That is what I thought until this morning when the love of my lie sent me this post.

I cried with joy! Finally, somebody unlike me understands! Mr Olbermann's views reflect the the great devastating sadness we have to endure. It is time to end this Godless hate crime and treat others as you wish to be treated. Amen.
